It is widely recognised that regular attendance at school is a key factor in raising children’s attainment and for improving their future life opportunities. The vast majority of our families understand this, ensuring that children attend school regularly and are on time.
Regular and punctual school attendance is a key factor in promoting the welfare, social inclusion and achievement of pupils.
Persistent absence is a serious problem for pupils. Much of the work children miss when they are off school is never made up, leaving these pupils at a considerable disadvantage for the remainder of their school career.
The school no longer authorises any holiday during term time. Please be aware if absence is taken after being refused, it will be classed as an unauthorised absence. Please be aware this may trigger a fine.
